Hazare's Fight

Bollywood actors Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif extended their support to the ongoing nationwide protest against corruption being spearheaded by veteran social activist Anna Hazare.

During a promotional event in Ahmedabad, the actors applauded the campaign led by Hazare.

"I think that everyone should do what they can or for the fight against corruption and everyone should do it in the way they feel best and solution should be long term; this should be of benefit to every common person, should help everyone, should help the citizens of this country and every one should contribute in the way they feel best," said Katrina Kaif.

Meanwhile, Khan said that he was happy to see the active participation of the youth in the campaign.

"This movement has made me happy for one reason and that is the youth of the country have got involved. India is a very young country, most of the population is under the age of 35 and in reality the youth has not been motivated or involved lately. Today when I see that the youth is getting involved, they actually care that yes corruption is a problem and we need to do something about it, I feel very happy and proud. I feel good and this gives me a lot of hope," said Imran Khan.

Khan added that if time permits, he would also like to get associated with the national campaign against corruption.

Hazare has been on fast since August 16, the day he was arrested and taken to Tihar Jail. He was released the same day, but he refused to leave Tihar Jail. He shifted to Ramlila Ground here on August 19 where he has been continuing with his fast.
